The 2017 SupplySide West show took place this year in Las Vegas from September 25 – September 29. At this annual tradeshow and educational forum, finished product manufacturers gather for top performers, trends, scientific advances and networking. Kyowa Hakko USA, Inc. is an international health ingredients manufacturer and a world leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals and food products. Their fermented amino acids and branded ingredients meet the most demanding quality assurance standards currently in place.
The Client’s Needs
Kyowa, having been a client of Nimlok NYC for several years, was ready for a fresh reveal at this year’s show, resulting in the purchase of an entirely new 20’x20’ custom-build island booth. Our team took into account that the company wanted this booth to be reconfigurable for use at other events. It was important to them that customers be able to learn about individual ingredient efficacies, while also maintaining the Kyowa name recognition that stands behind the development and manufacturing of their high quality, value-added ingredients. Additional needs included an inviting greeting desk and space to have more intimate business discussions, while also maintaining an open floorplan.
The Nimlok NYC Approach
Through a collaborative process, a sleek design was developed, reflecting the company’s purification processes and dedicated innovation. The cohesive plan would allow Kyowa to showcase their various branded nutraceutical ingredients in a unified exhibit. White and green colors were used to tie into Kyowa’s logo. A very large 16 ft. diameter logo hanging sign was produced for company visibility. A unique addition of custom-designed round hanging structures, hung at various heights off of the primary hanging sign, emulated elements of the Kyowa logo. This helped create an impressive, yet cozy environment for visitors.
The island booth had three double-sided kiosks, allowing each side to maintain a unique identity for each brand. Subtle vinyl molecular visuals were designed and applied to each station to give dimension to the white hardware, allowing the vibrant, colorful product graphics to stand out. Each product area included a plexiglass product display and literature holder along with large oval backlit product logos for ease of identification. The double-sided kiosks were 10-feet tall, higher than the standard 8-foot height kiosk. Built-in storage areas were created beneath each kiosk and beneath the large counter area. Digital elements included an interactive iPad station and a continuous loop monitor for further exciting visuals.
A semi-private conference area was incorporated into the layout, with inlay carpet and semi-sheer fabric graphics helping to define this meeting area. Plenty of additional seating was provided in the center of the booth layout through the use of two high café tables, each allowing four barstools.
The modular booth design will be able to successfully transition to various shows throughout each year that Kyowa attends. The graphics can be easily changed out, allowing for product line changes, and furniture rearranged for future shows.
